A whole host of Newcastle United fans are fuming on Twitter with Craig Hope’s latest story.
It has been a less than enjoyable start to the season for Newcastle and their fans having seen their side fall to four defeats and a last-minute draw in all competitions as well Steve Bruce seemingly picking fights with the local media over Zoom.
Do you think Newcastle could get relegated under Steve Bruce?
Yes
No
Just to add some more fuel to the fire, Hope, who originally broke the Matt Ritchie and Bruce bust-up story last season, has revealed that several players from the U23 side were involved in a pub brawl this week, which left summer arrival, Charlie Wiggett with a facial injury.
A lot of Newcastle fans have reacted angrily on Twitter to this latest news:
What have these Newcastle fans been saying?
“Club is a mess”
“Things continue to go from bad to worse for #NUFC after U23s involved in a bar brawl.”
“The whole club is an embarrassment from top to bottom!”
“shambolic club from top to bottom”
“The circus continues… #NUFC“
“Rotten to the core”
This scenario could come up in Bruce’s press conference later in the week ahead of a huge game against Leeds United on Friday and judging by how Bruce reacted to Lee Ryder’s question after the Manchester United defeat, a similar response may be incoming.
It’s not a great start to life as the academy manager for Steve Harper who was only given the role in July, with his players and son involved in a pub brawl, which has forced the former Magpies keeper to remove himself from any investigation in case any bias appears.
