A number of Newcastle United fans have responded online after Steve Bruce displayed his own anger in a recent press conference.

Following the Magpies’ 4-1 away loss to Manchester United – which saw Cristiano Ronaldo steal headlines with a brace on his return to the club – Bruce cut an angry figure when speaking to the press.

Indeed, when Miles Starforth of the Shields Gazette asked the manager what he thought about the chants coming from the club’s 3000 away fans – which called for the man in charge to be sacked.

A visibly perturbed Bruce said: “What can I say to that? What do you want me to say? I’m delighted about it? I can’t comment on that, I’m sorry.”

NUFC 360 shared footage of the incident on their Twitter page and it quickly drew a furious response from a high amount of Newcastle supporters.

Here’s what these Newcastle fans said

“Embarrassment. Leave.”
“He’s not good enough. He won’t resign. He won’t get sacked. Copy, paste. Repeat. It’s awful.”

“SB is just a bitter out of touch old dinosaur of football! He antagonises the fans when all he had to say to this we are trying hard to get things right, fans were great as always & we appreciate it! #NUFC #BruceOut.”

“A moron absolutely out of his depth. Shouldn’t be in management.”
“Awful guy. #NUFC #BRUCEOUT.”

“Rattled.”

Do you think Steve Bruce will resign as Newcastle United manager?

It has certainly not been a good start to the season for Bruce’s team. After a summer of frustration – where Joe Willock was the only notable transfer signing – the club have gone on to pick up just one point from the first four league games.

Indeed, a draw against Southampton represents the only time the Magpies have come away with anything after a Premier League fixture so far this campaign. As a result, they sit 19th in the league table.

With this in mind, it’s little wonder tensions seems so high amongst Bruce, the press, and the fans.
