Paul Pogba made the right choice when he decided to leave Manchester United for Juventus back in 2012, says former Premier League midfielder Carlton Palmer.

Pogba made the move to Turin after struggling to find game time at Old Trafford but has, of course, since returned to the English giants.

However, he could be set for the exit door once again, having just one year left on his contract and the subject of heavy interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

Will Pogba leave Man Utd next summer?

Given his potential at the time, which he later went on to fulfil at Juventus, United would have wanted to keep him and will most certainly want to now. But regarding his decision to leave for Italy in 2012, Palmer believes it was the right one.

“I think Paul Pogba will sign again at Man United,” the ex-Leeds United player said to TIF in an exclusive interview.

“He’s always loved Man United. He didn’t want to leave in the first place when he went to Juventus, but he had that arrogance about him and he wanted to go and play.

“I believe he made the right decision to do what he did and now he’s come back.”

Pogba really developed during his time in Italy, going from a youth player on the fringes to a key component of a dominant Juventus side.

It will undoubtedly be interesting to see what kind of decision the Frenchman takes now.
