Former Premier League footballer Carlton Palmer believes Paul Pogba could have his best season yet at Manchester United.

Manchester United had a superb summer window adding Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Tom Heaton to their ranks.

Pogba is another star in that Red Devils team and in the opening five Premier League matches, Pogba provided seven assists for his teammates and looks to be in red hot form.

Former player Palmer believes that Pogba will have his best season in England this campaign, telling This is Futbol: “I just think with Pogba, he needs to have that license to just go and play.

“And now with Ronaldo, who can go over the top, come short, and his array of passing, Pogba, I think if he stays fit, he might have his best season in the UK.”

The £54m-rated Frenchman has shown versatility in his game, as normally he is a central midfielder but has also featured both further forward as an attacking midfielder and also deeper as a defensive midfielder, as well as appearing out wide left for Manchester United.

With the additions that manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made this summer, the Red Devils have very good strength in depth throughout their squad and everyone connected with the club will be hoping that it is a successful season, and they can add some silverware to the cabinet come May next year.
