Former Premier League striker Nigel Jemson does not believe that Manchester United have the manager required to win the title.

The Red Devils have enjoyed an exceptional start to the season and have yet to lose in the top-flight.

United thumped Leeds United 5-1 on the opening day, and have also beaten Wolves, Newcastle United, and West Ham United, while also drawing with Southampton.

Will Solskjaer win a trophy this season?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

United lost their opening Champions League group stage game, though, against Young Boys, as well as being knocked out of the Carabao Cup by West Ham United, and Jemson has his doubts over Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Norwegian has yet to win a trophy during his time at United, reaching a number of semi-finals and failing to go any further. Last season, they lost the Europa League final on penalties to Villarreal.

Jemson said: “I think Man United have got the squad to be contenders but I’m not sure they’ve got the manager to do that.”

United are next in action against West Ham, again, in the EFL Cup, having beaten them at the weekend, before playing Aston Villa this weekend in the Premier League.
