Leeds United fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest post to emerge from the Yorkshire club about Dan James.

This comes after the official Leeds Twitter account shared a post on its page after the Whites’ Carabao Cup victory over Fulham, in which James played the entire game that saw Marcelo Bielsa’s side win 6-5 on penalties after a 0-0 draw in 90 minutes.

First up in this 2020/21 LUFC quiz, which of these players did NOT score against Liverpool in the 4-3 defeat at Anfield?

In the post, the club revealed that James’ partner gave birth earlier in the day before the winger flew to London to take part in the game, during which he eventually scored one of the penalties that took the club through to the next round.

This post then gathered a number of replies from Leeds supporters, who were quick to share their thoughts on the player.

So, what did these Leeds fans have to say in response to this post about James?

“Brilliant”

@kath2white

“What a top lad”

@LUFC_Max5

“Legend already”

@EclipseLUFC

“He’s Leeds and he knows he is”

@Ashli_LUFC

“Monumental effort by him”

@thombo1987

“Congratulations James! You are quickly becoming a big fan favourite”

@downtoellandrd

Looking at the replies to this post, it’s clear to see that these Leeds fans were happy to hear that James was able to be at the birth of his child but also pleased that he made the effort to be involved with the rest of the team for the Fulham game.

Given how Leeds Live gave the winger an overall match rating of 7/10 for his performance against Fulham saying that he put his “blistering pace” to “great use on the attack and with the interceptions he made”, this shows just how important his presence was for the team at Craven Cottage.
