Former Leeds United player David Norris doesn’t believe that the club will go back in for Conor Gallagher next year.

Football.London reported this summer that it was a two-way tussle for the signature of Gallagher, with both Leeds and Crystal Palace wanting to sign him.

Gallagher chose to move to the Eagles on loan and has made a bright start to life there, coming up with three goal contributions in his first three games.

Should Leeds try to sign Gallagher again?

David Norris doesn’t believe that Leeds will look to sign Gallagher again next year, telling This is Futbol: “Me personally with it being Bielsa, I think that normally that ship’s sailed, so I would be surprised.

“Normally they have their chances, they target their players, they do all the due diligence, and then they normally get the players, if they don’t, I don’t remember too many times when they’ve gone back for that same player to try and get them.”

Marcelo Bielsa did strengthen his Leeds squad this summer as the club made five permanent signings, with Dan James, Jack Harrison, Junior Firpo, Lewis Bate and Kristoffer Klaesson all joining the Elland Road outfit.

A midweek victory in the Carabao Cup, where Leeds beat Fulham 6-5 on penalties, was the Whites’ first win since their last tie in the competition. They have really struggled in the Premier League so far this season, winning none of their first five matches.
