Former Premier League midfielder Carlton Palmer has warned Crystal Palace that Chelsea will demand whatever they want for Conor Gallagher.

Gallagher is currently on loan at Palace from Chelsea and has managed to make an instant impact.

In only his second game for the club, a London derby against West Ham, the 20-year-old managed to score a brace before registering an assist a couple weeks later versus Tottenham.

Should CPFC try to sign Gallagher permanently?

Absolutely!

No

It is early days, but based on what he has shown so far, it would not be a surprise if Palace tried to sign Gallagher permanently at the end of his loan spell. Palmer, though, has warned a deal is only going to be done on Chelsea’s terms.

“Who’s worth what and who’s worth what now?” the ex-Leeds United player said in an exclusive interview with TIF. “It’s whatever the club wants to ask and whatever people are prepared to pay.

“If Chelsea ask 30 million for him, then that’s what somebody’s got to pay if they want the player – that’s as simple as it is.”

Chelsea have shown as mostly recently as this summer after they sold Tammy Abraham to AS Roma for £34m that they will look for top dollar for even the players that they do not want. So if they do become open to a Gallagher sale, then Palace are probably going to have to open their cheque book.
