Sky Sports journalist Michael Bridge is really impressed with Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel.

Chelsea appointed Tuchel as Head Coach in January of this year, with Tuchel signing a two-and-a-half-year deal at Stamford Bridge.

Tuchel led Chelsea to Champions League glory last season, as the Blues defeated Manchester City 1-0 in the final after a goal just before half-time from Kai Havertz.

Over the summer Tuchel has looked to strengthen his Chelsea side, adding Romelu Lukaku, Marcus Bettinelli and Saul Niguez to the playing staff and the Blues have made an unbeaten start to the Premier League campaign, beating Crystal Palace and Arsenal, before drawing away to Liverpool last weekend.

It was Tuchel’s reaction to going down to ten-men that impressed Michael Bridge, with the Sky Sports journalist telling This is Futbol: “I’m so impressed by Thomas Tuchel. I mean, the reaction of the Chelsea players at half-time against Liverpool, I thought it was more of a like, you’ve cost us the game ref, we’re going to lose this now and then Tuchel makes two subs at half-time and they hold out for a draw.

“I just think he’s such a phenomenal coach, I really do, and I think Chelsea have got an absolute gem there and we know managers don’t last very long at Chelsea, but they need to stick with this guy, he’s just got it.”

After lifting the Champions League last season and making a good start to this season, Chelsea will be hoping for further success this campaign and be hoping that they can get their hands on more silverware under Thomas Tuchel.
