New West Brom signing Jordan Hugill is “absolutely fantastic” in the dressing room, the club’s former midfielder Carlton Palmer has told This Is Futbol.
Hugill joined from Norwich City on a season-long loan deal towards the end of the summer transfer window to bolster Valerien Ismael’s options up front.
The 29-year-old was part of that Norwich City team that recently won promotion to the Premier League, scoring four goals during the 2020/21 Championship campaign.

He has already made his debut for his new side, playing half an hour of football in West Brom’s recent 1-0 win against Peterborough, and Palmer has since hailed his character.
“From what I’ve heard, he’s absolutely fantastic in the dressing room,” the ex-West Brom star told TIF. “If you’ve got a player like Jordan in and around your squad, when he’s in the team, he comes in and does a great job.
“And if he’s not in the side, he’s not causing you a moment’s problem. He just gets on, trains hard and is great around the lads – good business.”
West Brom will now be hoping that piece of business can help them win promotion at the end of the season, with the Midlands club starting the campaign strongly.
Taking 13 points from the 15 that were available and with a squad that was in the Premier League not too long ago, you would have to consider West Brom as one of the favourites to go up.
