Sheffield United fans have been reacting to the performance of Robin Olsen during their game against Preston North End in the Championship.

Slaviša Jokanovic’s men had made something of a poor start to life back in the Championship, failing to pick up a win in the month of August, before springing back into life off the back of the international break with a thumping 6-2 win against Peterborough United at the weekend and they surely would have been hoping to carry on that momentum going forward.

Will Sheffield United get promoted this season?

One player though who wasn’t on his best performance tonight was the Swedish goalkeeper, who was actually making his debut for the Blades tonight and he certainly didn’t make a good first impression, making an error in the buildup to the visitor’s equaliser early in the first half. That error as well as the rest of his performance, which was described as ‘unconvincing’ by some brought in some rather scathing criticism from supporters online:

“Atrocious decision by Olsen to come out”

“Where’s the receipt?”
“Useless”
“Hahhaa first day on the job and you mess up Olsen not gonna forget that”
“Deary me, Olsen! Very poor positioning from our keeper..”
“Need to see that again to see what Olsen was doing there!! Seemed to be chatting to someone in the South Stand”

Who scored the opening goal in Liverpool's 4-3 win over Leeds United at Anfield in September?

Luckily this was just his first game and it’s early in the season so the consequences aren’t exactly major at this point, but hopefully he’ll be able to pick himself up and be a productive member of the team moving forward.
