A lot of Nottingham Forest fans have been sharing their thoughts on Twitter at a claim to emerge in their search for a new permanent manager. 

According to The Athletic, former Swansea City boss Steve Cooper is on the radar for Forest following the sacking of Chris Hughton on Thursday.

The report states Cooper is not the only man on Forest’s shortlist, however he is ‘prominent’ in the club’s thoughts in finding Hughton’s successor.

Forest fans flooded to the tweet from journalist Daniel Taylor as he relayed The Athletic’s article to share their thoughts on the latest claim to emerge in their managerial search.

Cooper left the Swans back in July following the club’s loss in the play-off final against Brentford despite links to the Crystal Palace job coming to an end following the appointment of Patrick Vieria.

Following his efforts with Swansea, it seems the potential appointment of the 41-year-old has excited a lot of the Forest fanbase who would very much welcome his arrival.
