A whole host of Derby County fans have reacted positively on Twitter to Dylan Williams’ latest interview.

The Rams travelled to face West Brom on Tuesday evening with both sides experiencing different starts to the season with their opponents at top of the table whereas Derby were just two points off the bottom three heading into the game.

Will Derby County be relegated?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

Wayne Rooney handed a full league debut to Williams who helped the Rams defence keep a clean sheet, deputising at left wing-back and the defender admitted to Derby’s official media team that it was an ‘unbelievable feeling‘ to make his debut.

A lot of Derby fans were left buzzing on Twitter with how Williams reacted during his interview:

What have these Derby fans been saying?

It was just last season that Williams was playing in the Premier League 2 division as well as for Derby’s under 18s, but he must’ve made a great impression on Rooney over pre-season as well as benefiting from the Rams’ inability to bring in players for a transfer fee over the summer.

An easy one to kick off our quiz on the 2020 summer transfer window in the EFL, which player left Birmingham City to join Borussia Dortmund?

Sometimes, it takes an unfortunate event for young players to be given a chance, a bit like when Matty Longstaff burst onto the scene for Newcastle United with a goal against Manchester United because of a midfield injury crisis. Much like that, Williams appears to have grasped his chance with both hands and could make a name for himself if he keeps starting at just 17-years old.
