Lots of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to voice their thoughts at Oliver Skipp’s performance in the first half of their friendly game against Arsenal.

After their 2-2 draw against Chelsea on Wednesday, Spurs faced their north London rivals in their final pre-season game before the 2021/22 Premier League campaign.

And it was Oliver Skipp who caught the eye of these Spurs fans after the 20-year-old started another game having returned from his loan spell with Norwich City.

The midfielder impressed during his spell at Carrow Road where he featured in all but one of their games in the 2020/21 Championship season (via Transfermarkt).

What exactly did these Spurs fans have to say?

“Ollie Skipp is a good footballer”

“Skipp at the base letting Hojbjerg be the box to box 8. How it should be”
“Writing out loud Skipp better than Winks, who is better than Tom Carroll. Overall Skipp looks very mature and I really hope he won’t be loaned out.”
“I love the look of the Skipp and Hojbjerg pairing in the midfield”
“They better not loan out Oliver Skipp!!!”
“Ollie Skipp is triple the player Harry Winks ever was”

Skipp started the game alongside Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg after the two formed a partnership together in the game at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday.

Going by the reaction of these Spurs fans, it seems they have been massively impressed by Skipp following his loan spell and expect to see him start against Manchester City next Sunday.
