Journalist Phil McNulty has confirmed that Paris Saint-Germain will look to sign Richarlison if Kylian Mbappe moves to Real Madrid.

The Brazilian has been recently linked with a move to PSG as the French club may have to look for a quick replacement if Mbappe leaves.

With the transfer market set to close in just a matter of days, the possible sale of Richarlison could leave Everton struggling to find an adequate replacement.

While discussing the matter on the All Together Now Everton podcast, he confirmed that Everton could lose their star man and outlined how it would all play out.

McNulty said: “Obviously, he will be a player that PSG would look at if Mbappe went.

“We’ll wait to see what develops, it’s always slightly chaotic in the last few days, the transfer window, isn’t it?

“I can’t imagine Everton selling him on the cheap if indeed, that’s what happens. And you would hope that if that came to pass, let’s say it’s ‘if’ at the moment, they have a plan in place to strike quickly.”

TIF thoughts on Richarlison and Everton…

Richarlison had a fine summer, going all the way to the Copa America final with Brazil, and then winning a gold medal at the Olympics also with his national side.

Despite his hectic time away from the Premier League, the attacker took no time at all settling back into life in England, scoring for Everton on the opening day of the season against Southampton.

It seems that his impressive exploits have caught the attention of those who call the shots at PSG. If Mbappe is to leave for Madrid, Everton may be set to receive a non-refusable offer from the French giants, considering the Spanish giants are thought to be preparing a nine-figure sum for the Frenchman.

This would allow Everton to potentially spend big on a new signing – though it’s anybody’s guess as to who that could be at this stage.
