Sunderland fans have been reacting to news surrounding Corry Evans that has emerged from the club.
The Black Cats suffered their first blip of the season last night as they fell 1-0 to Burton Albion in a game that they dominated in terms of possession, shots and shots on target, but weren’t able to come away with anything.
Missing from the game last night was captain Corry Evans, who has only just joined the club having signed for them this summer, and it has been revealed today that the Northern Irishman will “miss the next 10-14 days due to a hamstring injury”.
The news was passed on to supporters via the club’s official Twitter account, and it brought out a number of despondent fans who weren’t happy with the news:
“We should never have got him he’s too injury-prone.”
Have you been impressed by Sunderland under Johnson so far?
YES
NO
Thankfully it is only a minor injury, so he should be back up to speed before too long, it’s not as if he’s out for 2-3 months, then the fans’ worrying might have been a little more understandable.
