A whole host of Sheffield Wednesday fans have taken to Twitter to show their delight at the latest Saido Berahino transfer claim.

It is a transfer rumour that has been described by The Star journalist Alex Miller as ‘left-field‘, but it is being reported that the Owls could be set to bring the former West Brom and Stoke City striker back to England.

Will Sheffield Wednesday come back up?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

The Burundi international is currently playing for Belgian side Zulte-Waregem but reporter Sacha Tavolieri has now claimed that Berahino is expected to join the Yorkshire side and link up once again with Darren Moore, who was at the club during his time with the Baggies.

A lot of Sheffield Wednesday fans are delighted on Twitter with this transfer claim.

“You just know Moore wouldn’t accept him in our club if he still has a bad attitude on him! Moore won’t want it to affect the rest of the group either”

Huge get if true. Get him fully motivated and he’d be unbelievable #SWFC

Berahino’s career looked set for stardom when clubs such as Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United were wanting to sign the striker earlier in his career, however, after a failed move to Stoke which saw him score just five goals in 56 appearances, it appears to have stalled significantly.

An easy one to kick off our quiz on the 2020 summer transfer window in the EFL, which player left Birmingham City to join Borussia Dortmund?

Since moving to Belgium, the striker appears to have found some confidence once again as he has a goalscoring record of 10 in 34 appearances, and with Moore knowing the striker from his time at West Brom, the manager may feel he can get the best out of him.
