A whole host of Sheffield Wednesday fans have flocked to Twitter to show their delight at the news Dominic Iorfa has extended his contract.

Iorfa has been a mainstay in Darren Moore’s side in League One this season, which has seen Wednesday keep an EFL high of four clean sheets in four games as they make a solid start to life in England’s third tier.

Will Sheffield Wednesday come back up?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

The centre-back is the latest player to commit their future to the Owls, following the news of Josh Windass signing a new deal earlier this month as they continue to look like a force in the League One promotion race.

Many Wednesday fans appear to be buzzing on Twitter with Iorfa’s new contract.

What have these Wednesday fans had to say?

Brilliant news fact is we couldn’t afford to buy an Iorfa today nowhere near it, so this is a great deal #swfc

An easy one to kick off our quiz on the 2020 summer transfer window in the EFL, which player left Birmingham City to join Borussia Dortmund?

Iorfa missed a huge chunk of last season after he suffered an Achilles injury last December, but he has slotted straight back into the side in League One seamlessly, which has seen him earn a new deal.

The Owls currently sit top of League One as they have a better goal difference than both Wycombe Wanderers and Portsmouth – while the latter are alongside the Owls as the only teams yet to concede a goal in the league.
