Celtic fans have started speculation online following an update regarding one of the club’s current transfer targets.
Football journalist at The Scotsman & Edinburgh News, Barry Anderson, claimed on Twitter that the Scottish club will complete a deal worth over £500,000 for Liam Scales in the next few days.
Alongside this news, reports claim that the Bhoys are close to signing Josip Juranovic from Legia Warsaw for £2.5m. Meanwhile, other reports have stated that the club have made an approach for VVV-Venlo’s Giorgos Giakoumakis.
With these reports, and Anderson’s update, many fans have been left speculating that the club is on the verge of announcing all three players at once.
Here’s what these Celtic fans had to say…
“They’re going to do it… It’s a triple announcement!!!!! Got to think that will be the end of incomings if this is done.”
Up to this point in the summer, Celtic have signed a few notable players – such as Kyogo Furuhashi and Joe Hart.
But it’s clear to see that their fans aren’t quite content just yet. No doubt they’d be delighted if the club can pull off deals for Scales, Juranovic and Giakoumakis.
However, the end of the transfer market is edging closer, so the club may have to move fast if they want to satisfy this section of the supporters.
