It is believed the 26-year-old had been offered the chance to join Premier League side Burnley, however, he has chosen to take up a potential move to the Cherries in the English second tier.

Celtic fans flooded to the tweet from Everything Celtic relaying the claim from Scott McDermott to share their thoughts on the proposed move for their midfielder.

What exactly did these Celtic fans have to say?

“Madness”

“Breaking ma heart”
“To leave Celtic to Bournemouth is lack of ambition, no disrespect to Bournemouth but that’s poor but good luck.”
“Bournemouth over Burnley is an odd choice by Christie. Can’t imagine Ange is happy.”
“Please no”
“I can see the logic for him in this move. They’re a good bet for promotion. Nice place to live and near his pal Armstrong. If it happens hopefully Celtic have a contingency.”
“Jota coming in to take his place probs”

The 26-year-old only has a matter of months remaining on his current deal with the Bhoys, meaning this is Celtic’s last chance to earn a fee for the player if he was not to extend his deal.

Going by the reaction of these Celtic fans, it is apparent they are not impressed at hearing about the potential departure of the 26-year-old despite facing the prospect of selling without a fee should Christie stick around.
