Celtic fans have reacted in great numbers online following the latest update regarding one of the club’s summer transfer targets.
Sky Sports have reported that the Bhoys have now made an approach for Greece striker Giorgos Giakoumakis.
The update explains that Giakoumakis and his agent also visited Werder Bremen earlier this week to see the Bundesliga 2 side’s facilities and hold informal discussions with the club.
It is thought he will now decide between a move to either Germany or Scotland.

Giakoumakis set Dutch football on fire last season with 29 goals in 33 games for VVV-Venlo across all competitions. He was also the Eredivisie top scorer with 26 goals.
With that form, it’s no wonder the Celtic fans seem so excited with the idea that he could possibly be joining their club before the transfer window slams shut at the end of this month.
