A lot of Celtic fans have reacted on Twitter to a transfer claim to emerge regarding a potential move for a new right-back.
According to reporter Christopher Dodds, the Bhoys are ‘exploring a loan move’ with West Ham United for the services of Harrison Ashby.
Have you been impressed with Ralston this season?
The journalist suggests the Parkhead club are not the only side tracking the 19-year-old this summer, who has featured for Scotland in U21 European Championship qualifiers (via Transfermarkt).
Celtic fans flocked to the tweet from the journalist to share their concerns over the rumoured interest in the young Scottish defender.
What exactly did these Celtic fans have to say?
“I sincerely hope this is not true. The Celtic board at it again”
“I hate Celtic”
“Terrible deal. Ralston has stepped up considerably and we now have Juranovic. Bringing in a long to be 3rd choice is a terrible move for the club and the player’s development”
“Yeah this football club’s never ever going to be taken seriously”
“That would be a woeful move for all parties. How would being Celtic’s 3rd choice RB develop him?”
“Why would we be buying another right-back when we have problems in a few other areas? Doubtful I’d say.”
Ashby has already featured twice for West Ham U23s in the Premier League 2, but he was not included in the squad for their game against Chelsea U23 on Sunday (via Transfermarkt).
It is apparent these Celtic fans are struggling to understand why the club would be looking to bring in Ashby with Anthony Ralston impressing in the early stages of this season.
