The Celtic Way reporter Anthony Haggerty believes Joe Hart has already proven to be a coup signing for Celtic.
Hart made the move to Parkhead from Tottenham Hotspur earlier this month and has quickly become a fans’ favourite at the Glasgow club.
Ange Postecoglou, who was named as Celtic’s new manager in June, wanted to strengthen the goalkeeping department ahead of looking to wrestle the Scottish Championship title away from Rangers’ grasp this season.
Was Joe Hart a coup signing for Celtic?
Hart has quickly made a telling impact and kept four clean sheets in his first six appearances for the Bhoys.
But Haggerty believes Hart has already built a relationship with the Celtic fanbase and argues Postecoglou has already been proven right after taking a chance on the shot-stopper who won the Premier League title with Manchester City.
He told TIF: “English supporters will perhaps have their thoughts on Joe Hart and various club and international fans will maybe diss him.
“But, for Celtic to get hold of someone like Joe Hart is a bit of a coup and he has risen to the challenge.”
