Lyall Thomas, reporter for Sky Sports, has been speaking on the latest YouTube video from Last Word On Spurs to discuss the latest transfer news concerning Tottenham Hotspur.

The north London club have managed to bring in three new faces through the doors of Hotspur Way in the shape of Pierluigi Gollini, Cristian Romero and Bryan Gil.

However, with just a matter of days left, the Lilywhites still have a number of players being linked with a potential summer switch to N17.

Juventus ace Weston McKennie is one of the players who has been linked with Spurs, but the future of Tanguy Ndombele could play a big role in that potential move.

One player who is expected to seal a move to Tottenham in the final few days is 18-year-old midfielder Pape Matar Sarr from Metz.

Discussing whether there will be anymore expected to come through the door this summer, the Sky Sports man had the following to say.

“I think Matar Sarr will obviously get done. But I think we can sort of overlook that for the time being, because obviously, he’s going to go back to Metz. So he’s not a player we’re going to see in the squad this season. That’s what we expect to happen.

“In terms of the UEFA squad, they’ve got space for one more, they can bring one more in. I think it’s likely that they will.

“I’d be surprised if they don’t – and then obviously anything else will depend on outgoings.”

TIF Thoughts on Tottenham’s summer spending…

Going into this summer’s transfer window, it was expected Spurs would undergo a big rebuild with various players leaving and arriving at the club.

However, with just a matter of days remaining, we are yet to see a large-scale rebuild, and that may concern some of the Spurs fans who were hoping for more.

We think there is a lot riding on whether Spurs can offload some of the players who are reportedly on their transfer list.

If they are able to sell the likes of rumoured unwanted players such as Moussa Sissoko and Serge Aurier, as well as possibly Tanguy Ndombele, then they are freeing up an awful lot of wage space and we’d expect a decent sum of money to spend.
