A whole host of Tottenham Hotspur fans are delighted on Twitter as their club is no longer interested in signing Kurt Zouma.
Tottenham have lost two centre-backs this summer in the form of Toby Alderweireld and Juan Foyth, although the latter did spend last season out on loan at Villarreal, and that has meant they could bring in Cristian Romero from Atalanta.
Are Tottenham a 'big club'?
However, that could be the end of their centre-back hunt this summer, as reports suggesting they are interested in Zouma have now been dismissed with Spurs having pulled out of the race for the Chelsea defender, as per Telefoot journalist Julien Maynard.
A lot of Spurs fans are delighted on Twitter with the new Zouma update.
What have these Tottenham fans been saying?
“We don’t need another CB, try Sanchez next to Romero and see how it goes.”
“The best info since Romero sign.”
“There is no need to comment on this really.”
“We love this game”
“Kane staying, Zouma not coming, I think I might be dreaming what a window”
With Spurs now pulling out of the race for Zouma, it appears that the Frenchman could be edging closer to sealing a move across London to West Ham, with the Hammers looking to strike up a £25 million deal.
Nuno Espirito Santo has a rather stacked centre-back department, especially when Romero is fit and ready to start in the Premier League, as they also have Davinson Sanchez, Eric Dier and Joe Rodon.
