Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting to the latest transfer claims to come out of the club surrounding a potential move for Villarreal defender Pau Torres.
Defence was certainly a problem for Tottenham Hotspur last season, so much so that it has been the club’s priority for this summer’s transfer window. They’ve already made strides in fixing the issue with the signing of Cristian Romero, but it looks as if they aren’t done yet when it comes to the centre-back department.
A claim from Argentinian journalist Veronica Brunati on Twitter has claimed that Tottenham are showing an interest in 24-year-old Torres, with the Daily Express going on to claim that he could cost Tottenham £45m if they were to secure his signature.
This news was relayed to fans via @thespursweb on social media, where it’s fair to say there were a number of fans who were happy at the thought of him making the move to north London:
“Bring him to The Lane”
Would Torres be a good signing for Spurs?
Yes
No
It certainly would be a show of ambition if they could pull the deal off, especially at that reported asking price.
