Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest claim to emerge concerning Lilywhites midfielder Moussa Sissoko.

This comes after Spurs-focused Twitter account @thespursweb shared a post on their page relaying news originally published in a live transfer update article (09:30) from the Daily Mirror.

Starting with a current Tottenham star. How many PL goals has Harry Kane scored for Spurs?

It was recently claimed that fellow Premier League side Watford are “closing in” on a deal for Sissoko for a reported fee of £10 million.

This post then gathered a lot of replies from Spurs fans who were not shy in sharing their thoughts and feelings on this latest claim.

So, what did these Spurs fans have to say in response to this news about Sissoko?

“£10 million, wow.”

@SpursCompendium

“Best news of the window”

@philip_thfc

“Paratici Masterclass.”

@Ahmed_de99

“Bro there are tears in my eyes thank God”

@usiphil4

“Result. Was outstanding a couple of seasons ago but now is a good time to sell.”

@RobSmith0101

“£10m!!!! Transfer of the season. Paratici”

@09Malik_

We’re finally reshaping praise Paratici”

@ReratileKG

“That’s double what I was expecting”

@Craig1_COYS

Looking at the replies to this post, it seems as though these Spurs fans are quite happy to hear that Sissoko could be on his way out of the club this summer, with the club apparently getting a fee of £10 million for the Frenchman.

In our view, given how Sissoko only managed to earn himself a rather uninspiring overall season rating of 6.44/10 for his performances in the Premier League last season, making him the lowest-rated Spurs player to start more than nine league games according to WhoScored, it’s understandable why these fans would be happy to see the back of him.

Would you be happy to see Sissoko leave Spurs?

No

Moving forward, if Spurs do end up getting a decent fee from Watford for the midfielder, it will be intriguing to see whether or not they manage to bring in a replacement for him before the transfer window closes or just stick with the midfield options they currently have in their squad.
