Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest news to emerge concerning Lilywhites midfielder Moussa Sissoko.

This comes after Spurs journalist Charlie Eccleshare shared a post on his official Twitter page revealing that Sissoko is back in the UK and that it is expected that he’ll be training with the rest of the group by the end of the week.

Starting with a current Tottenham star. How many PL goals has Harry Kane scored for Spurs?

Eccleshare also added that the north London club “still hope to sell him this summer”.

This post then gathered a lot of replies from Tottenham supporters who were not shy in sharing their thoughts on this latest news.

So, what did these Spurs fans have to say in response to Eccleshare’s post about Sissoko?

“Finally found something worse than the Kane news”

@_tearell

“Charlie man. This is the worst possible news.”

@Stu__thfc

“There is no good news for Spurs. Only bad and irrelevant news.”

@gazingmyshoe

“More bad news then”

@dylanfjones

“Can’t catch a break with this team”

@thfc_nkumbu

“Ah the bad news keeps coming”

@MarcellBhanu

Looking at the replies to this post it seems as though these Spurs fans aren’t particularly pleased to hear that Sissoko is set to return to training in the coming days, despite Eccleshare’s claim that the club aims to sell the Frenchman, who has previously spoken about how he could be open to leaving the club during the current transfer window.

Would you be happy to see Sissoko leave this summer?

Yes

Yes

No

No

Given how the midfielder only managed to earn himself a rather uninspiring overall performance rating of 6.44/10 last season, making him one of the club’s lowest-rated players according to WhoScored, it’s easy to see why these responding fans want to see him gone.

In our view, if Tottenham are able to find another club willing to buy Sissoko this summer for a decent amount of money, then perhaps they should move him on and try and find a suitable replacement for him.
