Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane is set to remain with the club for the 2020/21 season, after issuing an update on his future, amid his rumoured exit this summer.

The forward had been a long-term transfer target for Manchester City, with it being claimed that Pep Guardiola’s side tabled a bid in the region of £100million to try and prize the England international away from Spurs.

But Tottenham stuck firm in their valuation of Kane, much to the delight of the club’s supporters, with the 28-year-old going to score a brace in his first competitive start of the 2021/22 campaign, which came in a win against Portuguese side Paços de Ferreira.

Starting with a current Tottenham star. How many PL goals has Harry Kane scored for Spurs?

Speaking in a recent interview, Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher felt as though Kane should voice his frustrations towards Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour for not matching Spurs’ valuation of him this summer.

“If I was Kane, I would be as disappointed in Sheikh Mansour as Levy, and ask myself: “Why haven’t they matched my market value?”… Manchester City’s approach to signing Harry Kane has been bizarre.”

Plenty of Tottenham Hotspur supporters were quick to take to social media to react to Carragher’s recent comments on the Kane saga, which looks as though it’s concluded for the time being.

As Carragher says, perhaps Kane should direct any frustrations he has towards the City board for failing to pay up the money that Levy was demanding.

Kane will be hoping to put the transfer speculation behind him moving forwards, as Spurs prepare to take on Watford in their next match on Sunday afternoon.

In other news, plenty of Tottenham supporters have reacted to the newest arrival in the summer transfer window.
