Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting to claims surrounding Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves.
The Portuguese midfielder was a key member of the club when current Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo was at Molineux, as he was a near-ever-present as they achieved back-to-back 7th-place finishes in the top flight, and even before that in the Championship, where he scored some impressive goals as they won the title in their first seasons in England.
Now, though, it looks as if the two men could be set to reunite after a few months apart and meet up again in north London. According to a claim on Twitter from Portuguese journalist Pedro Almeida, the 24-year-old is negotiating ‘a long-term contract’ with Nuno’s side ahead of a potential €40m (£34.3m) deal.
He wouldn’t be the first Wolves player to be linked to Spurs in recent weeks, with Adama Traore also thought to be of interest in north London.
This news was relayed to Spurs fans by @HotspurRelated on Twitter for them to react to, and it’s fair to say that they were incredibly excited to hear the reports:
“That would be a brilliant signing. Let’s get a big move done today.”
Do you want Spurs to sign Wolves?
Yes
No
If the report is true, it now becomes a race against time to get the deal done before the window closes.
