Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest news to emerge concerning the north London club.

This comes after the official Spurs Twitter account shared a post revealing that they have been drawn against fellow Premier League side Wolves in the third round of the Carabao Cup.

Starting with a current Tottenham star. How many PL goals has Harry Kane scored for Spurs?

The post also added that the clash at Molineux will take place in the week commencing 20th September.

This announcement then gathered a lot of replies from Spurs fans who were not shy in airing their thoughts on this news.

So, what did these Spurs fans have to say in response to this news about their Carabao Cup clash against Wolves?

“Oh for crying out loud”

@MeerSaid2

“That’s us out already”

@_lukeadcock

“Couldn’t pick out a worse draw if you tried”

@OCoogan

“You’ve got to be kidding me”

@PSJ_2888

“That’s tough. Our squad depth needs to be better by then. 6 days left lads.”

@MouraThis

“Oh no really?”

@shirleymillr24

Looking at the replies to this post from the north London club, it seems as though these Spurs fans are not particularly pleased to see that their team will be facing off against Wolves in the next round of the Carabao Cup.

Are you happy with this draw?

No

No

In our view, given how Spurs have racked up a fairly mixed bag of results against the Old Gold across all competitions in recent years, winning four, drawing one and losing two of their seven previous meetings, it’s easy to see why these responding fans are concerned by this latest news.

Moving forward, given how Spurs recently beat Wolves 1-0 in the Premier League at Molineux, perhaps they will be able to take this experience and use it to help them potentially secure another win against Bruno Lage’s team when they meet in the Carabao Cup in September, but a midweek trip to the Black Country has not excited too many of the Tottenham faithful.
