A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have shared their frustrations on Twitter at an image to emerge of Giovani Lo Celso and Cristian Romero following their victory against Watford.
Last week, the Premier League
announced that clubs were not releasing players from red-listed travel destinations to meet up with their international sides had they been called up.
Are you annoyed with the Argentine pair?
This meant Lo Celso and Romero would not have been expected to meet up with the Argentina squad, however, the pair seem to have defied the advice and have joined up with their fellow Argentines.
Spurs fans flocked to a tweet from The Spurs Express to share their anger at the Argentine pair choosing to defy the Premier League’s advice in order to join up with their national side.
What exactly did these
Spurs fans have to say?
“Lo Celso continues to be a massive disappointment.”
“Disgrace! They will miss two weeks in September and another two in October. Hope the club fines them heavily!”
“Why did we allow this 2 losses incoming”
“They should be fined for every game they miss. Simple”
“I’m not mad but I’m certainly disappointed”
“Not a good look to join a club and two weeks later defy it”
“Worst decision ever to let them go on international duty”
“Not cool, missing two key London derbies in the process.”
Romero nor Lo Celso have started a Premier League game this season under Nuno Espirito Santo, with both acting as an unused substitute in their victory over the Hornets on Sunday.
Despite the duo not playing a big role in Tottenham’s season so far, it is apparent these fans are furious at the two players, with some concerned they may now miss their game against Crystal Palace due to quarantine rules.
