Lots of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to vent their frustration at the latest transfer claim to emerge regarding their club.
According to Spanish outlet Sport, Spurs are eyeing up Barcelona striker Martin Braithwaite over a potential summer switch to north London.
Should Spurs pursue Braithwaite this summer?
It is suggested the Danish international already has a preliminary agreement with West Ham United, however, he is willing to hang on to see how Harry Kane’s transfer saga develops.
The 30-year-old still has three years remaining on his contract with Barca but may see his game time suffer following the arrival of Sergio Aguero.
What exactly did these Spurs fans have to say?
“I promise you on my life I stop supporting this club if Braithwaite puts pen to paper”
“I’d rather play Eric Dier up front than that fraud”
“Not even going to entertain this. But if there’s a small chance this could be true, God help us.”
“Daniel Levy I’ll never forgive you”
“Shocking if this happens”
“This would be completely unacceptable even as a backup striker option let alone as a potential Kane replacement. I’d rather see Scarlett get the nod.”
Braithwaite made 29 appearances for Ronald Koeman’s side in the 2020/21 La Liga campaign which saw the striker only able to return two goals and two assists (via Transfermarkt).
As the Kane transfer saga remains unclear, one thing is apparent and that is these Spurs fans do not want to see their club sign the Danish striker this summer.
