Lots of Tottenham Hotspur fans have been voicing their thoughts on Twitter at a transfer claim to emerge regarding their defender Japhet Tanganga.

According to Turkish outlet Fanatik, Galatasaray have agreed on personal terms over a potential loan deal with Tottenham for the services of Japhet Tanganga.

What should Spurs do with Tanganga?

The 22-year-old only made six appearances in the League for Spurs last season, while the first half of his campaign was marred by injuries (via Transfermarkt).

Spurs fans flocked to the tweet from Last Word On Spurs that relayed the claim coming out of to share their thoughts on the potential departure of the defender.

What exactly did these Spurs fans have to say?

“If true, this doesn’t make a lot of sense. If he has to get loan experience then I’d be surprised if he can’t get one with a Prem team.”

“Gutted”
“I’m a little disappointed at this especially with the thingy providing games for younger players but if he’s not playing I would rather a loan than a sale has yet to prove he’s got the consistency for the Premiership and hopefully once his body stops growing less injuries”
“Didn’t expect this. Impressed a lot last year when he got minutes. Much better than Sanchez, Dier and Doherty.”
“Ridiculous if it’s true, I’d get rid of Dier first”
“Massive error in my opinion”
“This is honestly baffling.”

The report from the Turkish outlet claims Galatasaray are looking to sign the defender on loan with the option to buy included in the player’s contract.

And it seems these Spurs fans are not impressed by the news. With the departure of Toby Alderweireld and the reported interest in selling Davinson Sanchez, it seems many feel Tanganga had a real chance at game time for Spurs this season.
