Tottenham Hotspur supporters have taken to social media after a new twist has emerged in the Harry Kane transfer saga.

The small matter of Harry Kane’s future is yet to be officially decided, though Manchester City seem to have their gaze firmly cast upon the England captain.

Speaking on the Here We Go podcast, according to Fabrizio Romano, City are prepared to offer both Gabriel Jesus and Aymeric Laporte in an attempt to coax Daniel Levy into selling his most prized asset.

Romano said: “We keep an eye on Gabriel Jesus, because if Tottenham and Manchester City will be doing the Kane deal – Gabriel Jesus has always been one of the players offered from Manchester City to Tottenham as a possibility.

“They have been [also] offering Laporte, but Tottenham [are saying] no to players. Let’s see what happens in the coming days.”

The Spurs Web shared the news on their Twitter feed – which also explained the club had turned down the players in the past – and Tottenham fans were soon commenting their thoughts on the situation.

What did these Spurs fans have to say?

“Would be a brilliant deal for Spurs – makes a lot of sense and is the best outcome I think we can hope for.”

“This deal is perfect for both sides.”

“Are we dumb? Why have we said no previously? I’d take them and run.”

“Laporte & Romero would be better for us than having Kane in the team.”
“Take it and run!”
“LAPORTE??? Bro get this guy.”

If Spurs are to sell Kane, Daniel Levy is reported to want payment in the form of around £120m or more.

It remains to be seen whether or not Levy would value Jesus and Laporte as fair value in exchange of Tottenham’s main man.

However, the Spurs chairman is notoriously hard to deal with in the transfer market, so it’s hard to imagine this one playing out in a simple fashion.
