A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to voice their excitement at the latest transfer claim to emerge regarding their club. 

According to The Times, the north London side have had a bid in excess of £60m accepted for the services of Inter’s Lautaro Martinez.

The report suggests the Argentine striker is a target of Tottenham’s, with the idea of playing alongside Harry Kane in mind for Nuno Espirito Santo, who would like to play with a two-man strikeforce.

Reports have since emerged suggesting the bid was accepted before negotiations with Chelsea for Romelu Lukaku became as advanced as they are believed to be now.

Despite claims suggesting the deal may be a hard one to get over the line, these Spurs fans were left thrilled at the claim a bid had been accepted for the 23-year-old.

The Argentine had an impressive 2020/21 campaign, which saw him net 17 goals and provide 10 assists in his 38 appearances for Inter in their title-winning Serie A campaign (via Transfermarkt).

It seems the claim to emerge has got these Spurs fans excited at the prospect of adding to their strikeforce, but it seems like it is a potential deal that could be difficult to get across the line.
