The Italian football journalist spoke about one player who could potentially be leaving this summer with interest from Serie A for his services.

Romano revealed Moussa Sissoko is the subject of interest from Italian clubs as well as sides elsewhere, amid suggestions he has been told to find a new club.

However, it is believed the Frenchman’s expected departure has not gone down well with his fellow countryman, Tanguy Ndombele, who is said to be considering his future with the club.

Speaking about where Sissoko’s future may lie, Romano had the following to say on the possibility of him departing the north London this summer.

“Sissoko from Tottenham has [a] few chances to leave the club. He is one of the players considered on the market. Keep an eye on Italian clubs for him, but not only Italian clubs, because he’s considered on the market for Tottenham and also from other countries, other leagues are coming interested for him.”

TIF Thoughts on Sissoko’s time at Spurs…

The Frenchman has racked up 202 appearances for the Lilywhites since signing in 2016, but has only been able to find the back of the net on five occasions (via Transfermarkt).

Although he may not have arrived at Spurs with an amazing goal record, his output for the Lilywhites has been evidently uninspiring and we think if Spurs can get him off the wage bill, then it could be considered a success.

The 31-year-old is thought to be earning £80k per week and if Spurs can offload that, then it will free up some room for a potential new signing as they reportedly look to add another centre-back to their squad this summer.
