Graham Roberts believes new managing director of football Fabio Paratici could prove to be the best signing Tottenham Hotspur make this summer.
Paratici left his role as Juventus’ chief football officer, after 11 years, to take on the new position at Spurs last month.
Following the announcement of his arrival, chairman Daniel Levy revealed Paratici would play a significant role in helping to assemble Spurs’ squad ahead of the new season and he also helped to decide Nuno Espirito Santo was the right man to succeed Jose Mourinho as head coach last month.
Will Spurs improve with Fabio Paratici at the club?
The north Londoners have been busy in the transfer market, with Atalanta goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini joining on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy and Bryan Gil making the move from Sevilla as Erik Lamela headed in the opposite direction.
Former Spurs star Roberts believes Paratici is already showing his worth.
He exclusively told TIF: “I really like him. Paratici wouldn’t have come if he wasn’t allowed to do his own thing. It’s a good thing for the football club and he will find players.
