Lots of Newcastle United fans have voiced their frustrations on Twitter following the latest claim to emerge in their proposed takeover saga.
According to Liam Kennedy, the proposed Newcastle takeover is believed to be ‘hanging by a thread’ as a result of the recent delays to their legal battle with the Premier League.
Do you think the takeover will happen?
The report suggests the delays suffered to the legal battle has caused a strain on the relationship between the club and the Saudi-based PIF.
Newcastle fans flocked to the tweet from NUFC 360 relaying the claims emerging from the Newcastle journalist to share their anger at the latest in the takeover saga.
What exactly did these Newcastle fans have to say?
“Just call it off already. It’s not happening”
“The PL won it’s not happening, let’s move on and get behind the team, they need all the help they can get this season. #NUFC #nufctakover“
“Good. Sack it off and find another buyer. This has dragged on long enough and the club is being neglected even more than it usually is, while it’s in limbo. #NUFC“
“It isn’t happening. We need to move on from it.”
“Well it is over. We have to wait for a new buyer”
“Delay tactics working a treat.”
The Toon’s arbitration case with the Premier League was set to start in July, however, issues with the disclosure of evidence have seen the case adjourned until early next year.
It is clear this latest claim in Newcastle’s takeover saga has only frustrated their fans even more as their hopes of the Tyneside club finally changing ownership take another blow.
