Steve Howey believes Leicester City may have dodged a bullet by failing to sign Matheus Pereira and blasted the ex-West Bromwich Albion man for following the money.

The Foxes were one of a number of Premier League clubs linked with the winger after he suffered relegation to the Championship last season.

But Leicester – along with Leeds United, Aston Villa, West Ham United and Arsenal – were left frustrated in their efforts as the Brazilian opted to head to Saudi Arabia and join Al Hilal instead.

To kick off this quiz on Leicester City's 2019/20 season, who is the only outfield player to have appeared in all 38 of the Foxes' Premier League games in the 2019/20 campaign?

Pereira’s impressive form proved not to be enough as West Brom suffered the drop and Howey insists Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers will not be losing sleep over missing out on the winger.

Former Leicester defender Howey exclusively told TIF: “Why would you want a player at your club who is just interested in money? He’s a good player but if that’s what he’s bothered about then let him go to Saudi Arabia.”
