A lot of Leeds United fans are delighted on Twitter following Fabrizio Romano’s update regarding their pursuit of Daniel James.
The Wales international has started two of Manchester United’s Premier League games this season, but his minutes could quickly come under severe threat once Cristiano Ronaldo links up with his new squad.
Should Leeds sign James this summer?
Yes
No
Romano has reported that Leeds are in ‘advanced talks‘ to sign James from Man United on a permanent basis, despite Marcelo Bielsa claiming that it was unlikely the club would be doing any more business this transfer window.
Many Leeds fans are delighted on Twitter with this latest James claim from Romano.
What have these Leeds fans had to say?
“Let’s goooooooo”
“And this from a reliable journalist so hope it happens Dan James will be a good signing for us #lufc #mot”
“WE ARE MAKING A SIGNING?!?!?!? #LUFC”
“Daniel James, he wants to be Leeds! @LUFC #MOT”
“Please just let us have the fast man”
“BIGGGGGG.”
“Finally some transfer news #LUFC”
“Bielsa about to turn him into a beast, DJ finally getting the move he wanted to a gargantuan club #LUFC #MOT”
James famously almost signed for Leeds during their time in the Championship in January 2019, only for his former club Swansea City to pull the plug on the deal, which saw the winger remain at the Liberty Stadium until the following summer, when he joined Man United.
Bielsa may have looked at his bench on Sunday against Burnley and realised there were few potential game-changers other than Helder Costa and Tyler Roberts, who themselves only managed to score four goals between them last season.
