Leeds United presenter Joe Wainman has been sharing his thoughts on the possibility of the Yorkshire club making a move to sign Wolves winger Adama Traore before the end of the summer transfer window.

This comes after Wainman recently uploaded a video onto his YouTube channel where he spoke about a range of topics concerning Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

First up in this 2020/21 LUFC quiz, which of these players did NOT score against Liverpool in the 4-3 defeat at Anfield?

It has recently been reported that Tottenham Hotspur manager Nuno Espirito Santo is keen for the club to secure the signing of Traore this summer, while Leeds reportedly failed with a £30 million bid for the winger who Wolves value at £40 million.

Wainman had this to say on the matter.

He said: “I don’t think we’re ever in for Adama Traore, but it’s been reported that we’re £10 million shy, and d’you know what, I’m glad because I don’t rate him at all.

“He’s all mouth, no action, if that makes sense.

“There’s just nothing there, he gets into dangerous positions and he just fluffs his lines.

“I used to say him and [Allan] Saint-Maximin are the same, but I think Saint-Maximin’s a step above.”

TIF Thoughts on Joe Wainman’s comments on Traore…

Given how Traore only managed to score two goals and provide two assists in the Premier League for Wolves last season, it’s easy to see why Wainman isn’t convinced by the winger.

Would you want Leeds to pay £40 million for Traore?

Yes

No

No

In our view, if reports are accurate and Leeds are averse to adding another £10 million on their supposed £30 million bid for the Spaniard, then this would probably make sense for the club given how both Jack Harrison and Raphinha managed to score more goals and provide more assists than Traore last season.

Taking this into account, we feel that potentially spending £40 million on Traore this summer when he would possibly be left out of the starting XI behind either Harrison or Raphinha, perhaps wouldn’t be a worthwhile move from the club.
