A lot of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to voice their thoughts at the latest claim to emerge ahead of their season opener against United.

According to The Sun, Gunnar Solskjaer will be starting the game on Saturday with a front four of Mason Greenwood, Bruno Fernandes, Jadon Sancho and Anthony Martial.

Will Leeds beat Man on Saturday?

The Whites enter the new campaign after a far from encouraging pre-season of results, with just one win under their belt in their six outings which came against National League North side, Guiseley AFC.

Leeds fans flocked to the tweet from journalist James Marshment to share their thoughts at the claims emerging ahead of their game against their bitter rivals.

What exactly did these Leeds fans have to say?

Think Saturday will be high scoring – early-season games seem to favour attacking players, surfaces are good & defensive patterns not fully ingrained. Then again, I’d rather play them now than in a few weeks when Sancho has properly bedded in.

“Be surprised if Sancho plays – he’s hardly been back for pre-season”

“Best time to play them”
“I can’t imagine Sancho playing”

Leeds did not taste victory in either of the two Premier League games against United last season with a 6-2 defeat at Old Trafford and a 0-0 draw at Elland Road.

Going by the reaction of these Leeds fans, it would seem they feel their side stands a chance against last season’s runners-up as they speculate as to whether Sancho will make his debut at Elland Road.
