Leeds United fans have been reacting to comments made by youngster Sean McGurk following a win for the U23 side against Crystal Palace.
18-year-old McGurk signed for the club this summer from League One side Wigan Athletic and has got straight into the action for Mark Jackson’s men, as he scored the third goal in a comfortable 3-1 win at Selhurst Park.
He was made to work for his goal, though, following Amari Miller’s cross that was flapped at by the Crystal Palace goalkeeper, he had to show some neat footwork to find room for himself inside the box before firing low into the net to seal the win for Leeds.
Taking to Twitter after the game, he expressed his delight that the side were able to pick up their first three points of the campaign with the caption: “Brilliant win away from home to start the season.” This sparked a number of responses from Leeds fans who were more than happy to join in the celebrations:
“Looking well Sean! Won’t be long making a push for the 1st! Keep the head down and have a belter”
