Leeds United fans on Twitter have been responding to the claim to emerge concerning a potential transfer move for West Bromwich Albion attacker Matheus Pereira this summer.

This comes after LUFC Fanzone shared a post revealing that a source close to Pereira has told them that the Brazilian, who has been linked with a move to Elland Road this summer, “deserves to continue in the Premier League for what he did last season”.

Leeds' all-time top Premier League goalscorer is Mark Viduka but how many did he score?

The source also claimed that Pereira “will always be available at Leeds’ disposal for whatever is needed, however, he hasn’t received any contact despite the links”.

This post then gathered a lot of replies from Leeds supporters who were not shy in sharing their thoughts on the situation.

So, what did these Leeds fans have to say in response to these comments about Pereira and a potential move to the Yorkshire club?

Do your thing @LUFC

“Get all over it”

“I would take him all day it would solve our 10 issues and can play on the wingers also great at set plays”

“Poor performance by Orta”

“Trade him for Costa, please.”

“I’d defo take him at Leeds”

Looking at the replies to this post, it seems as though these Leeds fans think their club should be making a move to sign Pereira this summer.

Would you take Matheus Pereira at Leeds?

Taking into account how Pereira managed to score 11 goals and provide six assists in the Premier League last season, it’s safe to say that the Brazilian has what it takes to play in the division and it’s clear why these Leeds fans want to see him at their club.

Given how the Baggies man recently released a statement saying he wants to leave the club this summer, it seems as though it will now be down to Leeds to approach the Midlands club to try and work out a deal that would see Pereira move to Elland Road, which, in our view, should be something they look to do before the end of the window.
