The midfielder, who 42 league appearances for the Terriers last season, is reportedly a target for Leeds United this summer, with it being suggested that Marcelo Bielsa’s men will have to pay £10m before he can make the move up to the Premier League.
However, it appears as though Leeds United might not be in a position to fork out the full amount for him just yet. According to a source close to @lufcfanzone, Leeds did make an offer for the 22-year-old, however, “it has not met Huddersfield’s valuation and has been rejected”.
This news was presented to fans on social media for them to react to, where it was met with a lot of negativity, with some not happy with the idea of them low-balling Huddersfield, whilst others didn’t like the idea of him signing at all:
Would you like to see Leeds sign O'Brien this summer?
It certainly should be an interesting story to follow, especially with time ticking away before the window closes, will the two sides be able to come to an agreement in time?
