Leeds United fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest transfer update concerning the Yorkshire club.

This comes after Leeds journalist Phil Hay shared a post on his official Twitter page sharing the latest transfer news surrounding Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

First up in this 2020/21 LUFC quiz, which of these players did NOT score against Liverpool in the 4-3 defeat at Anfield?

In his post, Hay said that in terms of incoming transfers, Leeds “will get Leo Hjelde from Celtic done before the deadline” and that any more than that “looks unlikely”.

Hay then added that there is a “good chance” that Ian Poveda will join Championship side Blackburn Rovers on a loan deal.

This post then gathered a lot of replies from Leeds supporters who were quick to share their responses.

So, what did these Leeds fans have to say in response to Hay’s post about the latest transfer news at the club?

This transfer window has been shocking, we can’t do things the easy way & sign a CM. #LUFC

@ConnorMOT92

“Shocking window”

@THELUFCLAD

“We are thinner than last year. Someone needs to have a word. I might be wrong but bordering on daft.”

@DoctorT1992

“Shocking window, really thought we were going to build on last season.”

@_YorkshirePirlo

“Would have liked a couple of quality additions if I’m honest, it’s a long season with just a strong starting lineup.”

@HumberWhite

“Thanks Phil. Only Monday and ruined my week already. Cheers”

Looking at the replies to this post, it’s clear to see that these Leeds fans are not particularly pleased to hear that Hjelde could well be the only player set to join the club before the transfer deadline at the end of the month, with some not happy with the way the entire window has gone.

In our view, even though Leeds have made some signings such as Junior Firpo, Kristoffer Klaesson and securing Jack Harrison on a permanent deal, perhaps the club could have done with adding a few more names to the squad to add some strength in depth, especially since the club have only managed to pick up one point in their opening two Premier League games of the season.
