Leeds United fans have been reacting to footage that emerged of youngster Sean McGurk during a friendly against Manchester City.
The U23 side continued their work in pre-season over the weekend with a comfortable 4-0 victory over their Manchester City counterparts, with goals from Max Dean, Crysencio Summerville, Amari Miller and the aforementioned McGurk.
And although it was a City side that was not at full strength with a number of their academy players on duty at the Community Shield, that doesn’t mean that there weren’t a few moments to emerge from that game to leave a number of Leeds fans rather excited.
One of them came through the final goal of the game which was scored by the 18-year-old McGurk, who only signed for the club this summer from League One side Wigan Athletic. His goal, which involved a nice run followed by some neat footwork inside the box, was relayed to fans online by @leedsutdacademy, where it left a number of them rather impressed:
“Great goal and assist”
Will Leeds challenge for Europe this season?
Yes
No
While McGurk’s goal was undeniably impressive, whether or not it has impressed Marcelo Bielsa enough to make him think about introducing him to the first team is a different matter.
