Leeds United fans have been reacting to footage of Raphinha that has emerged from their game against Burnley at the weekend.
Leeds United are still awaiting their first league win of the season as they were held to a 1-1 draw with Burnley at Turf Moor with two goals that weren’t exactly what you would define as aesthetically pleasing.
Chris Wood put the home side in front just past the hour mark with an effort after a goalmouth scramble, before Patrick Bamford equalised for Marcelo Bielsa’s men five minutes from the end of normal time, poking home after a series of ricochets in the box.
The Leeds United Twitter account posted footage of the equaliser online for fans to react to, but it wasn’t the finish that caught their eye, rather the play of Brazilian Raphinha in the buildup to the goal and they were left in awe of his ability to get past the two Burnley defenders that were on him:
“Raphinha sending Taylor to the cleaners there.”
Is Raphinha Leeds' best player?
Yes
No
Whilst he won’t be credited with either the goal or the assist, it’s good to know that he at least is going to get some credit for his part in the goal, even if it is just from the fans and not anything official beyond that.
