Leeds United fans have been reacting to claims surrounding a potential injury to defender Diego Llorente.
The Spaniard was missing from the Leeds United lineup during their recent game against Ajax, and speaking about his absence, journalist Beren Cross has hinted that Llorente’s was just a ‘minor knock’ and that it was not a huge concern.
However, according to a source close to @lufcfanzone on Twitter, it could be a lot more serious than that, as they claimed: “Diego has a leg muscle injury which will take 2-3 weeks to heal. It’s not major but he probably won’t be ready for the start of the PL season.”
Will Llorente play regularly next season?
Yes
No
This news was relayed on social media for fans to react to, where it was met with a feeling of exasperation for a player who doesn’t exactly have the best track record when it comes to staying fit:
“Aggghhhhh”
Having spent a reported £18m on him, he certainly hasn’t been the most reliable when it comes to staying free of injuries. Perhaps it’s given the club pause for thought on their initial investment.
